I delved further into looking at logos of Illustrators and Fashion Illustrators.
And I found quite a contradictory collection of logos from the ones in my previous Blog post.
This logo belongs to Fifi Lapin, a popular fashion illustrator who famously draws all her models as rabbits. I really love this logo, infact I love the idea of having a signature for a logo in general.
I think it's a really personal and creative touch.
While this doesn't really look like a signature, Paper Fashion's logo is more relevant to this post than the previous one, as the typography isn't as structured, and has a number of decorative features and swirls.
Another hand written, scrawly logo for Illustration blog Birdy & Me.
I love the hand written look for a logo, especially for the likes of an illustrator or a designer. I believe it enhances the look of creativity and gives an almost friendly look. Or maybe that's just me.
This, and Fifi Lapin's logo are my two favourites. I think this is a beautiful logo as well as a signature. It's a really elegant, yet simple logo.
I think I am going to go with the signature concept for a logo as opposed to the strong and structured typography or initials. I think it would say more about me as a designer, just the way these logos have done about these designers to me.
